Use SSDs for temp space

Solid State Drives (SSDs) are very well-suited as temp space disks for Data Management, and we recommend their use. Because Data Management often has multiple processes and threads accessing the same storage simultaneously, contention for the disk resource may become a bottleneck. SSDs address this issue because they have extremely fast access times (typically 0.1ms compared to 5ms for a hard disk). By reducing access times by a factor of 50, SSDs free Data Management processes to proceed in parallel.
