AO Business Standardize

Advanced Object (AO) Business Standardize uses Data Management's standards table in combination with an optional user-defined table to generate a standardized version of business names. By defining a value substitution (look-up) table, you can enforce your own standards for business names.

AO Business Standardize configuration parameters

AO Business Standardize has a single set of configuration parameters in addition to the standard execution options:

Input

Company

Required. Field containing the business name to be standardized. Default: Blank.

Lookup table

Optional. The name and location of a two-column lookup table in DLD format. The first column must have a field name of ORIGINAL and contain key (input) values. The second column must have a field name of STANDARD and contain the values to be substituted in the standardized output. If defined, this table takes priority over Data Management's business name standards table. Default: Blank.

Output

Standardized company

Output. Required. Field to receive the standardized business name. Default: STD_FIRM.

Capitalization/Unicode options

Specifies how characters are standardized. Options are UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, and Unicode. If Unicode is selected, capitalization is unchanged but Unicode characters are handled correctly. Default: UPPERCASE.

  1. Select AO Business Standardize, and then go to the Configuration tab on the Properties pane.

The second column must have a field name of STANDARD and contain the values to be substituted in the standardized output.

  4. Optionally, select Standardized company to specify an output field name other than the default STD_FIRM.

  5. Optionally, select Capitalization/Unicode option to select a character style other than the default UPPERCASE.
