API reference

Redpoint Interaction (RPI) provides two sets of RESTful APIs:

  • RPI Integration API provides functionality related to Orchestration.

  • RPI Realtime API provides functionality related to Realtime Interactions.

RPI Integration API

The Redpoint Interaction (RPI) Integration API allows external applications to integrate with RPI objects and processes at a service level. Through a series of endpoints, the API allows you to activate customer data to realize value (e.g., selecting an audience for the purposes of delivering a marketing campaign).

The RPI Interaction API provides the following key functionality:

  • Selection/segmentation

  • Audience management

  • Interaction design

  • Execution workflow triggering and management

  • Connectivity to underlying databases

Refer to the RPI Integration API reference documentation for full details about the API’s endpoints.

  • User accounts that require access to the Integration API must be assigned to the Integration API user group.

  • API users that require access to the Integration API cluster endpoints will require the Cluster administrator permission.

Redpoint Realtime API

The Redpoint Realtime API is designed to facilitate real-time, personalized customer engagement across various channels. This API enables organizations to deliver customized experiences by integrating and leveraging real-time data. The API offers robust capabilities for managing customer profiles, tracking interactions, and delivering targeted responses, all in a secure and scalable manner. With a focus on flexibility, the Redpoint Realtime API allows for seamless integration with existing systems, ensuring that businesses can respond to customer needs and preferences instantaneously.

The Realtime API provides functionality such as:

  • Management of visitor profiles

  • Ability to make content applicability decisions

  • Processing of RPI web forms

  • Handling of communication with the RPI application server

RPI’s Realtime capabilities are exposed via a website, which provides an API, and its associated API reference documentation.
