Redpoint Identity Studio Documentation

Getting started guide

Overview

This section walks you through installing and configuring Redpoint Identity Studio (RIS), and connecting your input table(s) so that you can start using the app.

In this section:

About authentication

RIS is accessed through a web URL provided by your Snowflake administrator. Authentication is handled by Snowflake; you will be prompted to log in with your Snowflake credentials if you are not already authenticated.

There is no separate RIS login page. Snowflake manages all authentication and session management.

About evaluation mode

Evaluation mode is active when your RIS instance is configured for a trial or evaluation deployment. It is enabled server-side; you cannot toggle it yourself.

When evaluation mode is active, an amber warning strip appears at the top of every page (above the main content area, below the application header). The informational banner contains a warning icon and a message indicating the system is in evaluation mode.

Evaluation mode differs from a fully licensed mode in the following ways:

  • All RIS features remain fully functional during evaluation.

  • The banner is visible on every page to ensure users are aware of the deployment context.

  • Input data is limited to 10 million records.

  • The evaluation is for 30 days; after 30 days, the app will spawn warnings.

  • Address hygiene is restricted to addresses in the U.S. and Canada.

  • Match results will be limited to a random sample of 10% of input data.
