Overview
RPI gives you the option of opting in to dozens of different email alerts. You can find these alerts under Preferences > Alerts tab. Here, you’ll find alerts for audiences, interactions, and more.
Unless otherwise stated, if you opt in to an alert, you’ll receive an alert for every time that action is completed, regardless of who took the action. For example, if you subscribe to “Interaction Workflow Complete”, you’ll receive an alert every time an interaction completes, even if you didn’t run the campaign yourself.
Alerts for commonly occurring actions may be overwhelming for the average user, but alerts on issues such as audience snapshot failure or interaction workflow failure can be helpful so you can know when something doesn’t run properly. Learn more about the different kinds of alerts.
Additionally, RPI gives you the ability to customize interaction alerts based on the specific workflow. The video below demonstrates how to set up custom subject lines and headers for interaction alerts.
Customizing an interaction alert
For individual interactions, you can customize the subject line and header of alerts that come through regarding that interaction. Customizing your alerts makes it quick and easy to identify alert emails in your inbox, as well as create email filters to help sort your alerts.
To customize interaction alerts:

Go to Preferences and choose the Alerts tab.

Check a box to opt into one of the following interaction alerts:

Interaction Audience Complete - Production

Interaction Audience Complete - Test

Interaction Fulfillment Complete - Production

Interaction Fulfillment Complete - Test

Open an existing interaction (or create a new one).

For the workflow trigger, select the trigger and open the Configuration settings.

Choose the Alerts tab.

Select the “Custom email subject text” field, which will open up the Design Alert Content Heading Format box.

Choose the green plus icon.

Choose a text type from the dropdown.

Repeat steps 7-8 to add as many parts to the subject line as you’d like. You can use the green up and down arrows to reorder the different parts.

Select the “Custom email content heading” field, which will open the Design Alert Content Heading Format box.

Repeat steps 7-8 to add as many parts to the content heading as you’d like. You can use the green up and down arrows to reorder the different parts.

Select Done.
Once the action is taken that triggers the alert you opted in for, you’ll see the customizations you made to the alert.
