Smart Asset types
Smart Assets allow you to dynamically personalize inbound or outbound content. You can add Smart Assets into standard Assets, other Smart Assets, Offers, and Realtime Layouts.
There are several different types of Smart Assets, each with unique functionality.
This documentation doesn’t review the Model and Recommendation Smart Asset types because they are going to be deprecated.
Smart Asset type | Description | Supported in |
---|---|---|
Attribute | Dynamically shows content based on a chosen Attribute, such as First Name or Business Unit Code. | |
Audience Segment | Dynamically shows content based on the segment from a chosen audience. |
|
Rule | Dynamically shows content based on a chosen selection rule. |
|
Goal | Allows you to conduct A/B testing to compare and optimize content based on specified performance parameters. | |
Tag | Use selection rules to return different content based on the selection rule being satisfied or not. However, Tag Smart Assets don’t change information displayed on a page; they only return data. The platform can then use the data to make additional decisions. | |
Table | Allows you to create a custom text or HTML table with dynamic functionality. | |
Advanced | Allows you to assign default content to a “variant” (e.g., a web page element such as a banner). For each variant, you can create one or more “messages”, which allow you to set qualification rules to override the default content of the variant. |
