Getting started with Execution Windows

Overview

A grid is displayed, listing all existing execution windows. Within the grid, the following read-only columns are displayed:

  • Name: the unique name that identifies an execution window.

  • Global: a tick is shown if the execution window is global; a cross if not.

  • Type: one of Open or Closed.

  • State

Execution Windows are ordered with Global windows first, then alphabetically.

Selected Execution Window Details

This section displays the details of the execution window selected currently in the list. If no execution windows have been configured, an advisory message is displayed.

The section contains the following properties:

  • Name: the unique name used to identify the execution window. Name is mandatory, can be a maximum of 100 characters in length, and must be unique across all execution windows.

  • Description: an optional property that can be a maximum of 1000 characters in length.

  • Is Global: this checkbox, which is unchecked by default, allows the execution window to be defined as global. A global execution window applies to offer activity execution via any channel. A non-global execution window can be used by individual channels.

  • Time Zone: this dropdown allows you to select the timezone to be used by the execution window.

At least one of the following three checkboxes must be checked:

  • Date Range: if checked, the execution window applies across the date range specified . The accompanying From/to properties must be must be provided and valid.

  • Day of Week: if checked, the execution window applies at one or more specified day(s) of the week. At least one of the accompanying day checkboxes must be checked.

  • Time of Day: if checked, the execution window applies across the time range specified. The accompanying From/to properties must be provided and valid.
